Classical Yoga technique and neuromuscular facilitation using Coaching the Body method for optimal musculoskeletal function. Pain relief and restoration of range of motion for the whole body, including shoulders, hips, neck, back, and lower extremities. Individualized home practice and progression, including breathwork to synchronize breathing and help regulate metabolism. Personal attention to the whole person.

In my practice I focus on getting to the sources of pain through trigger point therapy and orthopedic massage techniques within the broader modality of Thai Bodywork and the Clinical Thai Bodywork methods developed by Chuck Duff et al. I have been working as a therapist since 2005, adding Thai Bodywork to my repertoire in 2009.

Josh is a CTB™ Advanced Practitioner. He is currently sharing time between Evanston, IL, where he is an assistant teacher and senior practitioner at CTBI; and Iowa City, IA, where he teaches Posture and Movement Classes at Heartland Yoga and provides CTB™ services. Josh’s primary interest is helping people eliminate pain so that they can return to the lifestyle they want to live. To help clients achieve this goal, Josh draws on over twenty years of study of traditional forms of posture, movement and breath. The CTB™ approach to the treatment of pain is completely unique and very effective, synthesizing the traditional techniques of Thai massage with an in-depth knowledge of western clinical approaches, trigger point therapy and asian medicine.

Kristy has 10 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist and is also a CTB Upper Body and Lower Body Specialist . She has an extensive background in clinical nutrition and exercise as well and a passion for working with people to make them feel their very best! “I thought I was a successful massage therapist before, but after learning the CTB protocol, my results had changed dramatically and have had even greater results at relieving pain and restoring mobility!” Her clinic is located an hour west of Chicago in Newark, IL.

I travel throughout the Chicagoland area, but also work in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Pompano Beach Boca Raton, Hollywood in Florida.

We offer a range of session types that vary according to the practitioner’s level of training and experience – from student sessions to the most experienced CTB™ practitioners in the world. Our approach to the treatment of pain is unique and very effective, synthesizing the traditional techniques of Thai massage with an in-depth knowledge of western clinical approaches, trigger point therapy and asian medicine. Our school has been in existence since 2001 and we offer a training program providing 3 levels of certification in this methodology. Our clinical practitioners have all been trained within this program.
